I am in the process of installing these on a 2008 Honda Pilot. At first they sent the wrong ones, but a replacement was sent a day later.

The directions state that you may need to remove the bolt from the shock to remove the spring. This is completely wrong. You must remove at least one end of the sway bar link, in order for the lower coil spring arm to move down enough to remove the spring. Of course a 10+ year old car means removing even one end of the sway bar link is a huge challenge. I likely will have to replace the link on the passenger side, after I cut it out as the nuts are frozen on. Penetrating oil seems no match for the rust and gunk on the threads. I hope these things work, because they are way more of a pain to install than I thought they would be.

Update - I completed the install and I did have to cut out one of the sway bar links, after which I then bought a new one for about $20 at Advanced Auto.

I tow a boat which has a 300lb tongue weight, the max the Pilot is rated for. It squats the vehicle 1 and 3/8ths of an inch. The air lift system when the max of 35 psi is used will correct the squat by 1 and1/8th of an inch, so within 1/4 of an inch of it''s normal ride height. Disappointing that it is not able to correct it back to the original ride height.

**UPDATE** Two years later and still rock solid. I thought they had sprung a leak at one point, but found that the schrader valve had worked loose, letting air leak out. I snugged it up about a year ago and I have only topped off the pressure a couple times since then. Before I found the loose valve I was filling weekly. **END UPDATE**

Original review from Dec 2016:
I just installed these and took a 2000 mile roadtrip, fully loaded. Half of that was pulling a 4x8 Uhaul trailer. I am quite impressed by the ride height stability that these provide. The difference in fender gap (with the bags at 35psi) between an empty and fully loaded van was about an inch-ish. The wheels are not tucked under the fender and angled in like so many vans we saw on our trip. I set them to 35psi when we left and checked them before we returned, about 6 days and 1100 miles later, and they were at 30psi. I like the additional firmness in the rear these provide, even when unloaded. They do make a little noise when the suspension flexes at low speeds as the springs rub on the bags. It is not intrusive and you only hear it at slow speeds. Also, have a set of rear lower spring pads handy. Our van had 128k and one was totally shot. The other was very worn, so I replaced them both. They are about $10ea at the dealer. So why did I only give 4 stars? The instructions leave out important steps and tips. For instance, they mention nothing of deburring the holes you drill in the control arms. If you don''t do this, the sharp edges left from drilling will cut your bags. They don''t mention cleaning the spots where the bags will make contact, which is important for longevity. They don''t mention routing the tubing to minimize chafing, and they only included one small length of protective sleeve for the tubing. Also, I don''t have the strongest hands in the world, but the tubing provided was NOT going to slide over and seat on the fittings for the bags or the t-fitting. They don''t mention that if you gently heat the plastic hose with a hair dryer or similar and quickly assemble, it slides right together. The hose pushes onto the fittings MUCH easier and will shrink to fit when it cools. Have a pry-bar handy when trying to get the control arm bolt back into the knuckle. It will need a little persuasion to line back up. If you put the fill valve low enough on the vehicle, you can use a bicycle pump to inflate/maintain these. They are small and fill up faster than a single mountain bike tire. All told, they can be a pain to install, but they work great. Time will tell for longevity.

I put these on my 2007 Honda Odyssey. The instructions were straightforward and it took me about 2 hours total, but about 20 minutes was spend debating where to place the valve. It is crucial to have a floor jack to place under the A-arm as you remove the bolt. I wanted to add a few bits of information to help others doing the same project. To remove the jounce bumper use a 14 mm socket with a 6 inch extension. It was easiest for me to attach the socket (with extension) to the jounce bumper bolts without the ratchet and then add the ratchet. The A-arm is secured with a 17 mm socket and wasn''t too difficult to remove. I used one of those pyramid drill bits to drill the three-quarter inch hole that was needed in the A-arm. It did just fine and was fairly quick. I filed the edges of the hole to ensure there weren''t any sharp edges; however, I wish they would''ve included some rubber grommets to install to prevent the line from rubbing over time. The air hose doesn''t hit the edge of the hole right now but I just wanted to have the peace of mind. On the underside of the rear bumper there is an existing hole that I used to place the valve, so I didn''t have to drill a new hole in my bumper.

I have driven around for about a week now and really like the difference in how it feels. I filled the bags to 35 psi for the first couple days and then dropped it to about 25 psi. I am getting ready to make a 1500 mile trip with my family and about a 700 pound trailer with gear. I''ll try and post an update once I''m done with my trip.

Trip complete and the bags worked great. Kept them at 35 psi for the trip and it worked fine. I still wish the van had a little more lift in the back for clearance, but with 7 people, gear in the back and the trailer it did just fine.

This kit worked out well for my Honda Odyssey. I drilled the holes for the stem according to the template.
Instead of removing the plastic bumper inside the coil spring I used a Sawzall and sliced the bumper in two pieces, that are easily removed through the windings. The hidden stub on top gives a flat support for the air bag.
I driled a hole for the hose into the cupped under side of the arm, so that the hose cannot hang up on any rough terrain and get ripped off.
The stem for the filling valve I mounted on the left underside of the bumper. Here I use a 12 compressor that has a plug in the left side of the trunk.
I made a wooden stick that fits between the ground and the underside of the trailer hitch when the airbag is deflated. Under inflation the gap gives me an indication of how much lift I get with the airbag under pressure.
Because I allways carry a lot of tools I keep it infalated with 15 PSI. I haven''t pulled my pontoon boat yet, but will inflate it to 32 PSI for that.
So far I am very happy with it.

Install these if you are pretty handy and possess a relatively high degree of confidence. It wasn''t extremely difficult, but was also not easy. Use the videos from etrailer as a reference. This made a world of difference on my Odyssey. I use a cargo basket for road trips, and this kept the van from excessive sagging and bottoming out. Was really happy with it. Made the ride smoother and the van handled better. For reference, my first trip was about 1500 miles without using this. Second one I installed this and drove about 600 miles. You really can feel the difference. Should have installed it for the first trip. Highly recommend.

These were an easy solution for rear sag in our Odyssey. If you’re towing or hauling a family with cargo in the back, these will save you on handling and tire wear. Interestingly enough, at full pressure they don’t cause the van to ride rough, just firm and controlled. I’d recommend not to use the tee and single schrader valve. Although that will work, it causes air to be pushed into the opposing air bag during body lean or when weight is on one side. This kit claims “no drill” which is clearly impossible with a 2012 Odyssey. Use a good quality bit and file out the edges so they don’t puncture the bag. Installation was a breeze and hoses were easy to route.

I have not installed these yet, buy I have installed 3 sets on my prior Honda Odysseys. Besides adding the extra support needed when tongue loads compress the rear springs, they add an element of safety also. The vehicle no longer bobs and weaves when loaded in highway driving, it''s much more stable when the wind tries to push the camper around, or when large vehicles pass you. Also if you do the install with 2 separate valve stems, the cornering of the vehicle even when unloaded and set to the min. pressure, handles much much better. The only negative is that the bags will eventually deteriorate in around 8 or so years.

Airlift solutions are great for adding extra lift when attaching a heavy trailer in an already fully loaded SUV. I have purchased a couple of these for different vehicles. The first one, I had the filler valve for each mounted inside the gas tank door on the driver''s side. The airbags mounted inside the rear springs and did a great job of lifting the rear part of the SUV. Back then, gas stations provided air to fill your tires at no charge with a nice long red air hose. Now, this one has been mounted with the fill valves on the inside of the SUV at the back right next to a 12-volt PowerPoint. My 12-volt air pump plugs in and dials up the pressure I need and up she goes!
